The objective of the course is to clarify and extend further the concepts of agricultural economics so that the students at Master lvel  may develop the capacity to understand the issues and problems of the agri - economy in a global scenario. There has been focused on the issues of modern contemporary economy, while the topics will also be discussed in their historical perspective keeping their importance in future. In particular, they have to capture the nature and scope of various public policies and their consequences regarding agri-sector. In addition to diagrammatic approach, the students are advised to use/apply simple mathematical and numerical analysis where need arise. The examples will be drawn from agri-sector of Pakistan economy as well as from the surrounding world for exposition. The students may be given assignments to collect information about various aspects of the agri-economy. They have to read various issues of Pakistan Economic Surveys and Annual Reports of the ministry of agriculture and food of Pakistan to develop their understanding regarding collection of data/statistics for different analysis. They may be asked to discuss the Federal and Provincial Budgets and to analyze the framework. At the the end of semester the students would be able to get command on different concepts of agriculture economics and its various allied /sub sectors.
