The course aims at introducing students the structure of Pakistan’s foreign relations and giving them an understanding of essential factors which play a significant role in the formulation of Pakistan’s foreign policy. It highlights basic determinants, principles and objectives of Pakistan’s foreign policy with an emphasis upon analysis of Pakistan’s relations with other countries. Objectives
The objective of course is to introduce the dynamics of foreign policy and diplomatic practise by using Pakistan's foreign relations as a basis for this study. The
the present course will delve deeper into selected issues that have a critical influence on
Pakistan‟s foreign policy.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the content of the lectures is expected to enable students to recognize and understand the Issues in Pakistan's Foreign Policy. Case studies and class discussions would enable the students to better understand different policy options for Pakistan during different eras. They should also be equipped to form informed opinions on various international issues. Along with the case study discussions, the presentations in the middle and at the end of the course period will develop their critical analysis abilities and will allow them to question and debate on the foreign policy options.
