This course is an introductory course on Signals and Systems. It is designed for students in engineering and other related fields. It introduces students to the concepts of signals, systems and their relationship.
The course covers:
Continuous time and discrete time signals, Periodic signals, even and odd signals, exponential and sinusoidal signals, the unit impulse and unit step functions. Continues time and discrete time systems. Linear time invariant (LTI) systems, difference equation, causality, BIBO stability, convolution and correlation. Discrete time Fourier transforms, time and frequency characterization of signals and systems. Analysis of continuous time systems using Laplace transforms. The sampling theorem, aliasing, sampling the discrete time signals
