Introduction:

The laboratory should help the student develop a broad array of basic skills and tools of experimental physics and data analysis. While it is imperative that students have a broad experience with techniques using laboratory equipment, it is impossible to prescribe precisely which equipment should be used in all introductory laboratory courses. The learning objectives of each laboratory experiment should determine the equipment to be used. At the same time, it is advisable to have students use many different types of basic laboratory apparatus to make observations.

Course Objectives:

expand fundamental knowledge and concepts in modern physics which students gain at undergraduate study

–          connect each experiment with its history facts and contents

–          conduct and organize experiments, with the over viewing of the lecturer

Learning outcomes:

After successfully completed course, student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate experiments in modern physics.
  2. Explain experiments in modern physics.
  3. Connect each physical discovery with its history contents.
  4. Use computer in interpreting experiments results, drawing graph and statistics.
  5. Organize one of the laboratory experiments.
  6. Explain how ionising radiation effect on humans, its advantages and drawbacks.
  7. Adopt manners according to safety rules in laboratory.
