DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES
In this course, the students will gain the knowledge of Urdu Literature, tradition of different genres of poetry as well as the starting history of prose work of the peiod of 19th century. The students will read the Major movement like Fort William College and Aligarh movement according to some specified aspects which are mentioned in the syllabus. With the study of this course, some major genres of Urdu prose like novel, Urdu Journalism and colonial period literary trends will be taught to clarify the roll of 19th century in Urdu literature.
