Course Objectives

This course is designed to train the chemistry students in computers and Softwares required to complete the assignments, design the presentations, and to make chemical drawings.

Course Contents

Introduction to the Computer, Types of computers, Computer applications, Parts of a computer system, Memory devices, Types of software, Data communication and Networking, Overview of the Internet, Applications of the Internet, About Email, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel and finally Latex (Overleaf).

Assessment Criteria

Mid Term Exam: 30%

Final Exam: 50%

Sessional: 20% (Sessional includes: Quizez, Assignments, Presentations and Class Participation)
