DESCRIPTION& OBJECTIVES

 

3D Fabric rendering is a specifically designed course in BS. Textile VI semester. It is designed to provide a professional experience of design development to textile design students. It will help the broadly educated person, to illustrate their ideas in terms of textile printing techniques. This course will emphasize on manual development of textile prints, 3D textile renderings, and surface development. New experiments and professional practices will be done in this design subject.

Purpose:  Students will be able to identify themes and traditions of the visual arts and design. They will be able to develop new textile prints and designs to print their fabric accordingly.

Students will understand the evolution of styles as it relates to Modern progress.

Students will be familiar with contemporary trends and techniques.

Students will have to work and understand the creative process of fabric rendering.

Students will be encouraged to visit exhibitions, high street brands, design units, stores and designer outlets.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On successful completion of the course students will be able to:

 

  • Gain a basic understanding of art and design
  • Motif development and rendering of textile design
  • Knowledge of different Print media will enhance the learning skills.
  • Assignments will be given to Students, based on research process to express their views and ideas on various themes and subjects.

  1. Comparative study between Baroque and Rococo art movement

Sessional: 20%

Mid term: 30%

Final exam: 50%
