COURSE DESCRIPTION :

The course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the Principles and Concepts of Musculoskeletal Evaluation & Assessment including relevant Interventions of Musculoskeletal dysfunction of the Spine , upper extremity and lower Extremity. In the laboratory sessions, evaluation and treatment techniques will be demonstrated and practiced, including regional palpation, examination, and evidence-based interventions emphasizing patient education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise including posture and movement retraining in a patient-centered approach across the lifespan.

On Sussessful completion of this course ,Students will be able to 

Assess and treat different Musculoskeletal dysfunctions of the Spine , upper extremity and lower Extremity .

Utilizing core Principles and Concepts of Musculoskeletal Evaluation & Assessment including evidence-based Physical Therapy interventions.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

This course with course code 403 is combination of four sub subjects

403 A :Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy       403 B : Sports Physical therapy

403 C :Geriatric Physical Therapy                   403 D: Pediatric Physical Therapy

Assessment Schedule : 3 tests & one send-up written examination including objective & subjective (SEQs, LEQs) type questions for each Sub-subjects individually.
Internal Assessment (based on class tests, class performance and attendance): 30 Marks as a whole course.

Written: 135 Marks ,   Practical: 135 Marks
