This course provides the student the knowledge and skills needed to manage the complexities of financing exports, imports, and direct foreign investment. Topics, viewed primarily from the perspective of managers doing business overseas, include the management of foreign exchange exposure, overseas investment decisions, and multinational capital budgeting. Other topics covered include trends in international banking, the balance of payments, the determination of exchange rates, the LDC debt crisis, and the Asian currency meltdown.
