This course provides an introduction to basic principles of plant function, primarily covering physical processes in plants, metabolism, secondary products, cell physiology, and introducing principles of growth and development.
At the end of the this course the student will be able to:
1- Know and understand the concept of plant physiology and ecology
2- Know and understand the C3, C4 and CAM plants
3- Comparing the effects of climatic factors on plant life, especially on carbon metabolism in plants
4- bioticand abiotic factors
5- Discussing the soil factors and its effects on plant growth
