Trauma has always been a part of human existence and, particularly in industrial countries ,has increased its significance.despite the progress in modern medicine to combat its complications,trauma still represents high rates in accident and emergency ,beaconing a major threat to health,reducing work efficiency and costing money.

This course deals with introducing the emerging medical professionals with the concept of mechanical injury and it's types, medicolegal considerations relevant to mechanical injuries,relevant sections of law of the land as well as the punishments enforced as a result of causing trauma to self as well as others .

It will link sequence of trauma to preexisting disease and cause of death from wounds.the students will be able to differentiate antemortem from post mortem injuries.it will help to differentiate whether death is suicidal,homicidal or accidentalthe students will be briefed about method s of treatment and possible etiologies of regional injuries as well.
