Course Description and Learning Outcomes:
This course is designed to introduce key Microeconomics and Macroeconomics concepts and techniques applicable as tools for rational economic decision-making within the micro framework and macro level. The course aims to demonstrate the relevance and usefulness of economic analysis to real world business situations and policy making by the governments. As far as micro economics is concerned emphasis is placed on optimal decisions making within the firm and the strategic relationship with other business. In case of macroeconomics introduction to macroeconomic concepts and policy making by the government will be introduced. Using microeconomics and macroeconomic theory, the students will be able to understand the concepts of demand and supply, the price determination in the market, firm behavior and the structure of the markets. National Income Accounting, Economic Growth, Fiscal and Monetary policies etc.
